Five in a Row for Joe Aramendia!

Brian Moczygemba had a strong 4th place finish just like the week before and that moved him up to 4th in the point standings for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Late Model Series at SAS. “B” is doing a great job with 6 top 10’s.
Joe started the night off right with the fastest qualifying lap time of 18.99, he drew #4 again for starting position and “B” drew #5. Within the very first lap of the race the running order was Justin Oates (#0), Joe Aramendia (#79), Danny Garcia (#97), Robert Barker (#17), Brain Moczygemba (#50), and Larry Bendele (#23) in the top five. Then five laps into the race Joe made his pass on Oates (#0) to take the lead. It was close racing all night long between Barker (#17), “B” (#50) and Bendele (#23) for positions 3rd, 4th and 5th. On lap 27 there was a spin on the front straight away bringing out the first of two cautions. On lap 30 just ten more to go- Bendele (#23) passed “B” (#50) for the 4th position, but on the next lap “B” passed Bendele right back to keep 4th place. The finishing race order was Aramendia (#79), Garcia(#97), Barker(#17), Moczygemba(#50), Bendele(#23), Horelka(#41), Creech(#2), Pogue(#16), Miller(#07), Oates(#0), and Knudtson(#7).
Joe and “B” will be racing again on Saturday May 6th at San Antonio Speedway. See you at the track!
