Win #7 for Joe

June 24th 2006

Last Saturday evening started with Joe Aramendia (#79) qualifying 3rd fast just behind Danny Garcia (#97) and Robert Barker (#17). After James Aramendia (Joe's brother and spotter) pulled the #2 starting spot in the drawing for the invert, Joe started on the outside front row. Justin Oates (#0) drew #1 starting position placing him on the pole. Brian Moczygemba (#50) was struggling a little with his car but managed to qualify 11th.

The first start of the race Joe fell in behind Justin Oates in second position but a caution came out for a spin for a spin on the back straight away on the very first lap. The cars were lined up for another start and this time, like the last time, Joe fell behind Justin securing second place. Justin paced the field for 14 laps before getting loose coming off of turn #4. That little bit of day light was all Joe needed to take the lead. Joe then led the rest of the race for his 7th victory in a row.

Brian made his way through the field for another top 10 finish in 6th place. He is currently 4th in the point standings for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series in the Late Model Division.

Joe Aramendia will be racing again this Sunday evening July 2, 2006 at Thunder Hill Raceway in the TSRS late model event "Operation Interdependence 75".

The next late model NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series race will be July 15th at San Antonio Speedway.

See you at the track!
